Hey Jim & Dad - if the Tibetan visa comes through, then I can meet you all in Lanzhou on Monday night. Will have to spend Sunday night in Hong Kong. So if HERO can come through, you've got a navigator.

Hey Big Jim and Fred!
Sorry your plans changed so drastically, Jim. Glad Fred can pinch hit for a while...this time, slow down and enjoy the ride...your tires will thank you for it. Be safe, Fred!

Hi, I’m backing home safe and sound. Left Hong Kong April 27th around noon arrived in Albany before 7:30pm. Both flights were fully packed. My brother Miller picked me up. He said he called my parents, brother and sister in Beijing, our whole family was disappointed that they won’t be able to see me for a while. I hope this ongoing persecution of FLG end soon, because it affects many people’s lives.
Jim called from the Great Wall in Beijing after I landed at Albany airport; they were ready to take off after the opening ceremony.
Thanks everyone for your concern and support. Jim, have fun and be safe, stay away from SARS.

Hi Jim
Very sad to hear Leejun won't be doing this fantastic trip with you. We're with you in spirit and hope it goes smoothly from now on in. Jonathan has just returned from the Irish Trial where he had a great time with photographer Mike and many Inca Trail friends. He waved John and Joanna off the next day to join you in China. Say hi to Jingers for us. Wish we could be there too.
Go safely.

Jim,How is everything going? Had any flat's yet? You should have had enough practice changing tires from the last trip to impress your navigator when you get your first one. Funny? If you have a chance I'm going to start to work on the XK 150 and have a couple of questions when you get a break. Good luck. Goodyear Gould
