Jim and Leejun it certainly seem you're getting the "African experience" down to an art! As you have realised, nothing happens in a hurry and nothing seems to operate quite as well as out here in the States! Happy to hear, you met with Basil and thank you for that chilling story about the croc's, there was a 25ft African Rock python there the last time I swam!! Stay safe and all the best.

Hello to all from the very "warm and humid" Northeast. This trip is sooooooo exciting. I viewed the pictures this am, and I especially enjoyed the Cape of Good Hope Lighthouse. Hope you took many pictures of it. Awaiting your arrival. Lynne

Hi Jim, Leejun, & Kaitlyn- looks like you're having a great time so far- don't worry about the baboons on the course it's the FL alligators that get me worried. Patrick, Kiera & Adam want to know if the gentleman who owns the resort invented the "copy machine for paper" or a "cloning device for people". That is imagination!! Good luck with the next couple weeks, Enjoy!! Love, Jason, Aimee, Patrick, Kiera, & Adam

Jim, Leejun, and Kait, greetings. We are now back from Peru and settled down. It was a great trip, the most fun being to just get the 4 of us away for a little adventure without instant messaging and cell phones. Jim, I am now going back to the "Inca Trail" tape to see what common road we may have traveled. We flew from Lima to Cusco and from Cusco to Arikippa, but the trip from Arikippa to the Colca Valley and ultimately to see the Condors was about 6 hours each way, most of it over territory that could only charitably be called "road". The Condors performed magnificently, as apparently they do every day. First gear driving (in our case riding in a small bus) for part of the way. We think the church in Arikippa has been totally repaired since you were there. No evidence of construction, and it looked symmetrical to us. We stayed in historical or restored hotels in both Cusco and Arikippa, but we settled for the Sheraton in Lima. Kate and Matt did a little gambling in the casino, and Matt was impressed with the drinking age in Peru. Kate is now back at work, and Matt is getting ready to head to Colorado early next week, so we will soon be empty nesters. I hope your trip continues to be as fun as it has been so far. Fondly, Barb, Steve, Kate, and Matt.

Looks like you're having a wonderful time! We particularly liked the photo "View of Cape Town and Table Mountain " -- simply spectacular. Keep those updates coming!

Looks like you are having a fantastic time! Pity you missed the rugby game, but I'm sure you've experienced some of the aftermath festivities!! The Kiwi's are still grumbling out here in Vail! The next few days will take into the Drakensberg, if you have time, stop in to say hello to Basil at Thokozisa, Central Berg. Safe travels!
