Great American Run Start Date:July 27, 2007 On July 29, 2007, cars will start from their choice city– Miami and New York - on a 2900 mile, cross-country adventure. Each route will cover approximately the same distance from start to finish. The object of the competition is to obtain an average speed over the entire coast to coast route, stopping en-route in various cities to join the evening celebrations.
